Praia Mole
Brazil · Santa Catarina
Just a few kilometers from Lagoa da Conceição, Praia Mole is a whole different universe: a large ocean beach bordered by green hills, battered by waves and frequented by surfers for decades. It is one of the best kitesurfing spots in southern Brazil, with clean swells, consistent wind, and a spectacular panorama. The name "Mole" comes from the texture of the sand, soft and shifting, which gives the beach its unique relief. Here, kiting takes on another dimension: more sporty, more oceanic, more intense. On days of strong wind, local riders perform powerful loops and strapless surfing against a backdrop of cliffs and turquoise water.
Médias históricas por mês — não é uma previsão ao vivo.
Dominant wind from east to southeast, side-on, between 16 and 25 knots. Choppy to wavy water, with regular waves of 1 to 2.5 m depending on the swell. At low tide, the shorebreak decreases, making it easier to launch. At high tide, the waves reform, more powerful and clean. The sandy bottom, absence of rocks, and width of the beach make navigation comfortable, but the power of the waves makes it a spot reserved for intermediate and advanced riders. It is an ideal spot for kitesurfing, big air, and powerful freeride sessions.
