Entry is easy from the fine sandy beach. The water surface generally remains flat to very slightly choppy, especially in low tide conditions. The navigation area is well cleared, without major obstacles. Kitesurfing schools often operate from this beach, indicating accessible and safe conditions for beginners.
Nearby, towards Morne, there are passes and reef areas with more pronounced waves for advanced riders. The current is generally weak at La Preneuse, but one must remain vigilant near the passes where it can intensify.
