Olga beach faces the Gulf of Fos, with a shallow water surface ideal for launching and navigation. The prevailing wind comes from the northwest (Mistral) in perfect side-on, or from the north in side-shore, facilitating easy take-off on the narrow but navigable beach. The navigation area extends in front of the beach, protected by dunes and the cove, with a large surface for freestyle despite the proximity of neighboring spots like Carteau.
Launching is done directly from the sand and gravel, be cautious of accumulated seaweed on the edge which can make the ground slippery. The launch area is limited by the width of the beach, but the nearby parking makes rigging easy. During peak times, the spot remains less crowded than Carteau, allowing for smooth navigation. Tides have little impact on the flat water surface, but check prohibited areas such as mussel farms or nearby dikes.
