Navigation takes place in open sea, with a strong influence from the tides. The dominant wind blows from the west to northwest, providing ideal side to side-onshore conditions for kitesurfing. At low tide, the beach becomes vast and greatly facilitates launching and landing. At high tide, space is reduced but remains navigable for experienced riders. The water surface is most often choppy, with the formation of waves and swell depending on the wind strength.
