Palomino
Palomino is a small tropical village nestled between the Sierra Nevada jungle and the Caribbean Sea. It’s a unique place where the highest mountains in Colombia literally plunge into the ocean. Playa Palomino, lined with palm trees and bamboo huts, is a perfect blend of surf vibe, wild nature, and Caribbean authenticity. The spot is not the windiest on the coast, but it offers a superb playground for riders in search of adventure, visual thrills, and sessions in a postcard setting. Palomino is above all a hybrid destination: kitesurfing, surfing, lounging, hiking, and natural exploration.

Información detallada
The wind blows side-onshore (from the right) and varies by season between 12 and 20 knots. The water surface is wave / choppy, with powerful and regular waves especially at high tide. The launch is on a wide beach, with golden sand, but the shorebreak can be marked depending on the swell. The spot is not recommended for large beginners, but remains a fabulous playground for experienced riders who enjoy sailing in the waves. At low tide, the sea calms down a bit, allowing for smoother freeride and more accessible sessions. Morning sessions and those at sunset offer the most beautiful light, with the Sierra Nevada in the background.
