The main wind comes from the east or east-northeast, making it a side-on wind perfect for Clifton lagoon. Launching is easy from the small sandy beach, with a clear take-off area but watch out for other kitesurfers as it's the busiest spot in the Grenadines.
The navigation area is in the large turquoise lagoon, ultra flat and shallow inside the reef, ideal for freestyle and tricks. On the reef, there is a nice left wave of 1 to 3 meters for wave riding, but you need to be skilled to venture there. The water remains flat even at high tide, although slightly more choppy at nearby Frigate Bay.
Local feature: the spot is sheltered by the reef, providing consistent conditions, but the area is busy with 5 to 10 riders often on the water. Prefer mornings for fewer crowds and more stable winds.
