Historical averages by month — not a live forecast.
Strand Paal 17 works well with most wind directions, except when the wind comes from the east (offshore). The spot offers side-shore to side-on conditions for north and northeast directions, which are the most productive. With a wind from southwest to west, conditions also become interesting for freeride.
Launching is easy from the sandy beach, and the spot has a parking area very close to the water, allowing for a quick check of conditions before heading out. The riding area is well-defined, with a cleared launch zone and few obstacles. However, the spot has a quite strong current that requires some experience to navigate safely. Waves are generally small to moderate, making it a versatile spot for freeride and freestyle.
