With a SW wind, the water surface is chop with small waves (1-2m), ideal for wave riding or freeride. The launch is directly from the wide sandy beach, easy even for inflatable kites.
The navigation area is marked to avoid the pier and swimming zones: stay clear of the pier and respect the buoys in summer. Launching is done on the north or south beach depending on the wind, with plenty of free space off-season. Watch out for surfers occupying the waves in strong SW winds. Tides have little influence on the spot due to the quick depth, but at low tide, the water surface is more flat near the shore.
Local feature: summer sea breezes strengthen the wind in the afternoon, making sessions longer. In winter, storms bring strong winds (20-30 kts) but with more waves.
