Launching is easy and direct from the sandy beach, with no rocks or major obstacles, and the launch area is spacious in front of centers like Playa Central. You can ride several kilometers offshore in the protected bay of the Sea of Cortez, but stay south of the main spot to avoid more exposed areas.
