Focene Kitebeach is a legendary beach located near Rome, in the Lazio region. It is a unique spot, known for its particular location near Fiumicino Airport, where planes regularly fly over the beach. The beach stretches over a long distance with fine sand and typical dunes, offering a preserved natural setting, especially at the northern end.

The spot is appreciated by riders of all levels for its accessibility and relaxed atmosphere. The northern area of Focene is a beautiful wild area ideal for kitesurfing, while the central part features breakwaters. The wind at Focene generally blows from the northwest to west, creating side-shore to side-on conditions depending on the exact setup of the day. The conditions are little dependent on tides, meaning you can navigate at practically any time of the day. The water surface features small to medium waves breaking on a shallow sandbank, offering moderate chop typical of Mediterranean coastal spots.

The northern area of the spot is particularly recommended for kitesurfing, while the central area with its breakwaters should be avoided. The available space allows for comfortable navigation without feeling crowded, even on days with a bit more traffic.
