Launching is easy from the wide beach of about 20 meters at the parking area. The conditions are tide-independent, simplifying session planning. Kite launching is easy, especially with ram airs (Flysurfer) that self-launch easily. Launching inflatable kites must be done with the rider already in the water.
The ideal conditions occur with northeast, east, and northwest winds of a steady strength. These directions offer an optimal side-shore to side-on setup, allowing for smooth and safe navigation. A moderate to strong wind ensures productive sessions without extreme conditions.
The water surface is flat to choppy depending on wind conditions. In light conditions, the water remains very flat, ideal for progression. When the wind picks up, small waves may appear, but they remain moderate. The water is generally calm and progressive, with no significant swell, making it an excellent learning ground.
The currents at Lindhöft are generally weak and tides do not significantly influence the sailing conditions. This lack of tide dependency makes the spot very accessible and simplifies session planning, regardless of the time of day.
