Pourville-sur-Mer

Just a few kilometers west of Dieppe, nestled between two spectacular chalk cliffs, the Pourville-sur-Mer beach is a spot with raw and natural charm, typical of the Alabaster Coast. More intimate than Dieppe, it offers a wild and mineral atmosphere, with a wide opening to the English Channel. The spot is appreciated by local riders for its preserved setting and its clear marine conditions, ideal for committed freeride and wave sessions when swells are present.

Location

Detailed information

Navigation takes place in open sea, on a pebble and sand beach highly dependent on the tide. At low tide, launching can be technical with exposed pebbles, while at high tide the depth quickly becomes sufficient but space reduces. The dominant wind blows from west to northwest, arriving side to side-onshore. The water conditions are generally choppy to rough, with cleaner and better-organized waves than on nearby urban beaches.
