Bovet Bugt
Denmark · North Denmark Region
Bovet Bugt is a kitesurfing spot located on the south side of the island of Læsø, in northern Denmark. It is a large flat water area favored by locals for its shallow depth and stable wind.
The spot is located in the western part of the bay, with easy access from the surrounding roads. The conditions are ideal for beginners due to the shallow water and the large available surface.
The atmosphere is calm, typical of Danish island spots, with few people outside the summer season.

The Bovet Bugt spot offers an ultra flat water surface perfect for freestyle and learning, especially with east (E) to southwest (SW) winds. The wind is generally side-on or side-shore from these directions, ensuring stable power without too much drift.
Launching is done directly on the grassy or sandy beach of the western part, with a wide and obstacle-free take-off area. Navigation extends over a large shallow area, going up to several hundred meters offshore where the water remains less than 50 cm in the best zones.
Tides have little impact here due to the weak amplitudes in the Baltic Sea, but always check local times. Avoid the eastern part of the bay, prohibited for kitesurfing. Launching and landing conditions are generally good most of the time, although technical in strong offshore winds.
