The Middles spot works ideally with a NW side-on wind relative to the northwest-oriented beach, generating clean medium waves and regular conditions. The launch area is of medium size, on a narrow but long beach with plenty of space to take off and land the kite without stepping on each other. Watch out for many rocks on the sand, shoes are needed for walking and launching.
The navigation area extends along the beach, with water conditions ranging from light chop to solid waves depending on wind strength and ocean swell. No major tidal influence, but high waters facilitate entry. Avoid sailing too close to the wind turbines or the nearby harbor of Hanstholm. Wave sets are excellent with strong NW, and the space allows for long runs without forced returns.
