Detailed information
The spot works with most wind directions due to its exposed position: NNE, NE, ENE, E, ESE, SE, SSW, S, SW, WSW, W, WNW, NW, NNW are usable, with wind often side-on or side-shore from the dyke. The water surface is flat and shallow on both sides of the causeway, perfect for beginners and tricks in flatwater, with a large shallow navigation area extending several hundred meters. Water access is via a small narrow entry bordered by reeds, with the rest of the shore being grassy; you can also launch directly from the shallow water. The launch area is a small grassy field, so be cautious during launches. No tide influence on conditions, and a Venturi effect often enhances the wind locally. In south wind, it can be slightly offshore, but remains rideable.
