Surfers Point is a spot located in Christ Church, in the south of Barbados, near the lively little town of Oistins. It is a versatile place that attracts both kitesurfers and surfers as well as windsurfers, offering varied conditions depending on the seasons and tides.
The spot benefits from a strategic location on the southeast coast of the island, where the northeast trade winds and Atlantic swells arrive directly. It is an accessible and friendly place, with nearby accommodations and a small community of local riders that creates a good atmosphere.

At low tide, the water is flatter and easier for progression, while at high tide, one may observe a bit more shore-break at the exit. The recommended kite sizes vary according to wind conditions and the rider's level. For beginners in light wind (12-15 knots), a kite of 13 to 14 m² is ideal. For medium conditions (15-18 knots), a kite of 11 to 12 m² offers a good balance. Experienced riders will use kites of 9 to 11 m² in stronger winds (18-22 knots). It is advisable to have at least two kites to cover the full range of conditions.
