The dominant wind comes from the Southwest (SW), making for a perfect side-on on this north-facing beach. There is often a local thermal that strengthens the wind during the day. The sailing area is a huge bay protected by a reef 1 km offshore and 5 km long, offering super flat water even when it blows hard.
Launching takes place on a large sandy beach with plenty of space for takeoff and landing. You can sail far without issue, but the reef 400-500 m from the shore creates light chop beyond. Prefer the central part of the bay to stay safe.
No major tide influence in the bay, the water remains navigable whether low or high. A 4x4 is recommended to explore further along the beach.
