Detaillierte Informationen
Chickens Surf Point mainly works with a swell from southeast to south and a wind from northwest to north, making it cleaner in side-off to offshore depending on the exact angle of the wind. The spot is exposed and captures swell well, with a wave that rolls quickly over the reef.
The water surface is clearly oriented wavy. At low tide, the reef becomes more exposed and the spot becomes more technical, with less margin above the coral. At medium to high tide, the wave remains navigable but retains character, with sections that accelerate quickly over the reef.
Departure is generally from the lagoon or from a boat assistance area depending on the day's organization. The useful navigation area remains concentrated on the shoulder and the wave take-off, as the spot is fast and may require staying well positioned. It is a spot for riders comfortable in reef conditions and capable of managing precise navigation.
