Plage des Beaumettes
France · Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur
The Beaumettes beach in Sausset-les-Pins, on the Côte Bleue in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, is one of the widest in the area with its fine sand mixed with small pebbles. Located to the east of the resort, near Carry-le-Rouet, it attracts families and water sports enthusiasts thanks to its free parking and accessible facilities.
It is a spot where kitesurfing is practiced among other sports like jet-skiing or diving, in a setting protected by the Côte Bleue Marine Regional Park. The atmosphere is relaxed, with beachside restaurants to enjoy the view.
The beach offers a good balance between accessibility and space for navigation, even though it remains poorly supervised during the season.

Beaumettes beach is oriented east-west, making it ideal for mistral winds blowing from the northwest in side-on conditions perfect for kitesurfing. Launching is done directly from the sand and pebbles, easy even for beginners, with a wide launch area on the beach that allows you to stay away from swimmers.
The navigation area extends offshore towards the Marine Park, but caution is needed to avoid protected areas where fishing and anchoring are prohibited. Depending on the tides, the water remains choppy in deep water, flatter near the shore at low tide. Sessions generally take place between 300 and 800m from the shore for freeride or jumps, with few waves thanks to the protection of nearby coves.
In July, as noted on forums, the spot is usable despite the summer crowds, but arrive early for parking. The wind is consistent in the afternoon, side-shore from the NW, and the beach allows for good space to relaunch without hassle.
