Kitesurfing takes place in open sea, in a wide bay oriented southwest that partially mitigates the effects of wind and swell. The spot works particularly well with winds from west to southwest, arriving side to side-onshore. At low tide, the beach becomes very wide, providing plenty of space for launches and maneuvers. At high tide, the space reduces but remains usable. The water is generally choppy to slightly rough, with regular and accessible waves when the swell is present.
