The beach of Saint-Tugen is oriented southwest, which favors a side-on to side-off wind when it comes from the W, WNW or NW, the most productive directions for kiting. The water surface varies greatly with the tides: at high tide, it is ideal for navigating without rocks, with a wider space for take-off and easy entry on the sand. At low tide, the rocky areas to the north and south become exposed, making entry more technical and limiting the riding area.
The navigation area extends over a sandy beach with beach breaks that form medium-sized waves, especially from autumn to spring. In summer, it turns more to chop with small waves. Take-off is done directly on the beach, with parking nearby and a small access path. Be careful to stay in the center to avoid the rocky ends.
