The Petit Nice beach, located in La Teste-de-Buch in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, is the first ocean beach after the Dune du Pilat. It is a large fine sandy beach away from the city, facing the Banc d'Arguin, offering a remarkable natural setting bordered by the La Teste state forest.
It is a spot appreciated by beginners in kitesurfing who prefer to stay away from the waves. The beach has full facilities: restaurants, snacks, picnic area, free parking, and easy access for people with reduced mobility. A first aid station is open during the summer, and the beach is certified as handi-beach.

Petit Nice offers ideal conditions for beginners thanks to its protected and shallow water surface. At low tide, the sandbanks form a lagoon with calm and flat waters, perfect for progressing safely. At high tide, the water surface becomes choppier with stronger currents, making navigation more technical for experienced riders.
Launching is easy from the wide sandy beach. The spot is oriented facing the Atlantic Ocean, which means that winds from the west to northwest generally arrive in side-shore to side-on, offering stable conditions. East to southeast winds are rarer and less favorable.
There is no marked swimming area due to the material impossibility of anchoring buoys. The launch area is well defined and secured. Pay special attention to the baïnes (pools of water separated from the ocean by a sandbank) that empty at low tide, creating strong currents seaward.
