Detaillierte Informationen
The west and northwest winds are frequent and often blow side-onshore or side-shore relative to the beach depending on the angle; with pure west wind, navigation is rather side-on shore to the right when looking at the sea. The depth is very variable with the tide: at low tide, the sea retreats far and leaves wide flat and shallow areas ideal for foil and freestyle, while at high tide the water covers the beach and allows for navigation further offshore.
Access is from the sandy beach or the lawn behind the dune; prefer clear areas without kiosks or walkers. Navigation areas extend along the north and south coast from the main access point, keeping a distance from the rocks that are exposed to the north.
In summer, the beach is less crowded than other local spots, but one must remain attentive to bathers and seasonal markings. During high tide coefficients, the current can strengthen at the water outlet channels; avoid these areas if you are not comfortable. The bottom is mostly sandy but may present mud banks at low tide.
