The spot mainly works with wind from the W to NW, which generally arrives side-shore to side-on depending on the exact orientation of the shore. In this part of the South Ari Atoll, conditions are often more comfortable than in very open offshore areas, with a water surface protected by the reef and the island's relief.
Kitesurfing mainly takes place in the lagoon and in shallow water areas close to the shore. It is important to prioritize a clean launch, with enough space to rig and set off without disturbing local traffic. The area is interesting for kitesurfing offshore from the beach, but one must remain attentive to shallow reef areas and passages that can become technical at low tide.
As the tide goes down, the water surface becomes flatter but also more exposed to shallows. At high tide, access and exit become more comfortable, with more margin in areas close to the shore. The spot remains mainly suitable for relaxed kitesurfing, with regular runs and a pleasant lagoon setting.
