The spot of Corn ar Gazel works well with a NE wind, which is side-on relative to the west-facing beach. At high tide, the sandy beach shrinks but remains accessible for launching and landing. The navigation area is shallow with a flat bottom near the shore, ideal for progression.
The water presents chop and small waves, especially with established wind. Launching is done directly from the beach, be careful of the reduced space at high tide. The best runs are in front of the beach towards the west, avoiding rocky areas at the ends.
Local feature: the beach is tidal, so check the tide times to optimize the session. Close to spots like Tréompan or Lampaul, perfect for a multi-spot day in Finistère.
