The plage des Lecques is oriented east-west, which favors a side-on or side-shore dominant wind from southwest to southeast, ideal for kitesurfing. The best wind comes from the south or southeast, bringing waves and good power, while the mistral from the northwest can be more onshore and technical.

The navigation area is marked 300 meters from the shore, with launching and takeoff at the southern end near the stream le Dégouttant. Few technical areas within 10 meters, so be cautious of edges during freeride or freestyle sessions.

The water surface varies with the tides: more choppy offshore but generally navigable in the dedicated area. In winter, outside the season, the beach is less crowded, facilitating launches, but always check the official signs for the authorized area.
