Plage de Saint-Cyprien
France · Corse
The Saint-Cyprien beach in Lecci, near Porto-Vecchio in Southern Corsica, is a large stretch of fine sand in a sheltered bay. It offers several atmospheres depending on the areas, with a wild side to the north near the Arasu ponds and a livelier part to the south with beach bars and water activities.
It is a kitesurfing spot favored by locals and local sailing schools, such as Lolly Loops, for its gentle slope and turquoise water. The beach is long and narrow in places, with free parking and amenities in season.
Close to the fishing village, it is one of the gems of the municipality of Lecci, alongside beaches like Cala Rossa or Benedettu.

The spot mainly works with sea winds, onshore or side-on from the southeast, which come well into the protected bay. The navigation area is marked in season by buoys to separate kitesurfers, bathers, and surfers, with a channel marked between the buffer zone and swimming area.
Launching takes place on a wide beach with fine sand and a gentle slope, ideal for all levels. The launch area is located to the left of the main parking lot, quite spacious and dedicated. In case of strong southeast winds, the water surface becomes technical with high waves, you must strictly stay in your zone.
In tramontane (northwest), it is offshore and risky here, better to go to a more sheltered spot like the Parc des Dosses. Tides have little impact in this shallow bay, the water surface remains navigable. Sailing school on site for rentals and lessons.
