Baía das Gatas

The dominant wind comes from the northeast, blowing cross-shore over the bay, providing consistent and stable power for navigation without too much risky sideshore. The riding area is very small, like a little natural pool, where two kites are enough to fill the space, so you need to anticipate other riders and stay vigilant.

Launching is done directly from the sandy beach without shorebreak, with a medium-sized launching area on the beach. The water remains flat permanently, knee-to-waist deep, regardless of tides that do not impact conditions here.

Local peculiarity: it is a shallow spot with a flat bottom, perfect for ground tricks and beginners, but the tiny size requires knowing the limits well to avoid collisions. In August, be cautious of bathers and other beach users.
