Akyarlar
Turquie · Aegean Region
Akyarlar, located on the Aegean coast of Bodrum in Turkey, is a wave-protected bay with a sandy bottom and clear waters. It is a spot popular with beginners for its consistent wind, especially the Meltemi, and its family-friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The bay cuts off much of the energy from the open sea waves, allowing riders to focus on control and direction.
This location offers an ideal learning environment with a calmer sea surface, visible return points, and a family-friendly beach, while receiving useful wind for real kitesurfing sessions. New students can work in controlled areas while more experienced riders use stronger wind windows for speed, harness work, and longer runs.
Médias históricas por mês — não é uma previsão ao vivo.
Akyarlar is exposed to west (W) and northwest (NW) winds, which come in side-shore relative to the beach. The Meltemi wind, typical of summer, creates a practical rhythm in the afternoon, ideal for sessions and progression. The water surface is flat to choppy, with small to medium and choppy waves. Access is shallow, which is perfect for beginners. The launch area is well-defined, and the bay naturally protects from the open sea waves, making the water calmer and safer.
