Plage d’Hardelot
France · Hauts-de-France (Pas-de-Calais)
Elegant seaside resort nestled between Boulogne-sur-Mer and Le Touquet, the Hardelot beach is one of the most accessible and versatile spots on the Opal Coast. Its large sandy bay facing southwest offers a pleasant natural setting, bordered by dunes and forests, and often provides more readable conditions than the northern beaches. Hardelot is appreciated for its balance between comfort, space, and moderate marine conditions, making it a popular spot for both local riders and schools.

Kitesurfing takes place in open sea, in a wide partially sheltered bay. The spot works very well with winds from west to southwest, arriving side to side-onshore. At low tide, the beach extends widely, offering plenty of space for launches and maneuvers. At high tide, the space reduces but remains usable. The water is generally choppy to slightly rough, with regular and cleaner waves when the swell enters the bay.
