Localização
Informações detalhadas
For kitesurfing, Bi Dog Beach should be seen as an exposed seaside spot, with a water surface that remains linked to the state of the local Adriatic. According to available information and local feedback, the spot mainly works with winds from N, NE, SSE, S, SSW, SW, WSW, W, NW, and NNW. On this stretch of coast, winds from W to NW often arrive cross-shore to slightly side-on relative to the shore, while flows from E to NE can become more side-off depending on the exact wind pattern and the shape of the bay. Southern directions are generally more comfortable for safe navigation than outright offshore winds.
The spot is not a large protected lagoon, so one should expect an open water surface and small waves or chop depending on the wind strength and residual swell. The launch area is from the beach in the Bi Village / Valbandon sector, with an entrance that can sometimes be a bit rocky. It is better to prepare your kite in a clear area and avoid launching too close to rocks or other beach users.
The spot seems especially suited for coastal navigation rather than freestyle on flat water. When the wind is good, one can comfortably navigate along the shore, but it is essential to maintain a safety margin, as the environment remains that of a busy beach and an exposed seaside.
