The wind blows side-off (from the right), powerful and constant, offering pure glide along the shore. The water is flat to slightly choppy, perfect for freestyle and fast freeride. Moving away from the shore, you find some small waves formed by the swell from the open sea. The launch area is on a wide sandy beach, but care should be taken with the marked slope in some places. The completely open setting ensures laminar and predictable wind. This spot is mainly for intermediate and advanced riders due to the strong wind and lack of safety services. Kite schools in Cabo often offer day trips to Pilón de Azúcar to ride in this exceptional setting.
