The Speed Spot is the secret gem of Dakhla, a mythical place reserved for experienced riders. Located about 15 minutes south of the main lagoon, it is a narrow strip of water that reveals itself at low tide, bordered by a huge dune. When the wind aligns, it creates an absolute flat corridor where kites fly at full speed just a few centimeters above the water. This is where the most technical sessions and the strongest sensations take place. The scenery is breathtaking: the ochre sand of the desert contrasts with the turquoise blue of the lagoon. A raw, demanding, but unforgettable spot.

The Speed Spot is only navigable around low tide. At this precise moment, the side lagoon fills just enough to offer a perfectly smooth surface and stable side-off wind. The water surface then becomes a mirror: no chop, no waves, just wind and glide. The wind comes from the north-northeast and remains clean thanks to the topography. Caution: at high tide, the area is covered with deep water and conditions become turbulent, even dangerous. This spot is tailored for technical freestyle, big air, and pure speed, but it requires precision and good tide reading.
